The Cottage
'Stonesthrow Cottage' was built in 2005. The house has been equipped and furnished to the highest modern standards.

It is a sunny, spacious house with magnificent views of Ireland's Pilgrim Mountain, Croagh Patrick, from the back garden. Under-floor heating and a traditional wood-burning stove make this house extremely cosy.

Carrowmore Beach
This is the closest beach to the cottage - 10 minutes walk. It is a pleasant sandy beach serviced by toilets and a lifeguard during the summer months.
Old Head Beach
This is a beautiful sandy beach with the view of Croagh Patrick ever present in the background. It is located less than 5 minutes drive from the cottage (towards Westport) and is popular with families and children. Again there are toilet and lifeguard facilities available during the summer months. A café and ice cream parlor also open during the summer.

Carrowniskey Beach
With big waves crashing in, this beach is a favorite with surfers, kite surfers and canoeists all year round. It is located less than 8 minutes drive from the cottage. Surfing lessons can be arranged at this beach.
